This was an unexpected event for Japanese flute artist Youkie Ota when she was joined by a butterfly on stage during her flute performance in the 5th Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition 2014. The butterfly seemed to enjoy her playing a lot waving its wings to Sancan’s Sonatine for flute and piano.
If attracting wildlife doesn’t win you an international flute playing music competition, there is something seriously wrong with this world.
